UNFCCC: United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is one of the most important environmental agreements to lay down a framework for international actions to address global climate warming.

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The United Nations established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 1988 to evaluate the scientific evidence available on anthropogenic climate change. The Panel’s reports are considered the authoritative source on climate change.Copenhagen 2009 will be the most important gathering of world leaders since 1997.  It will set the international framework to combat climate change into the next decade and beyond.
